Ondar Community and Safety Guidelines
Effective date: September 2, 2026
These Guidelines apply to the Ondar website, applications, LATER and NOW modes, profiles, maps, plans, messages, media, voice features and other services operated by Waystar Communications LLC d/b/a Ondar (collectively, “Ondar”). They form part of Ondar’s Terms of Service.
1. Adults only
Ondar is only for people who are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of legal majority where they live. Do not create an account, access Ondar or appear in content on Ondar if you are under 18.
If you believe a minor is using Ondar or appears in sexual content, report it immediately to safety@ondar.co. Do not download, forward or attach suspected child sexual abuse material to an email. Provide only the account, profile, message or other information needed for us to locate it. Ondar may preserve and report apparent child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and law enforcement as required or permitted by law.
2. Respect, consent and privacy
Treat every person with dignity. Consent must be voluntary, informed, specific and ongoing, and it may be withdrawn at any time. A match, message, prior encounter or prior consent never means continuing consent.
Do not:
- threaten, harass, bully, stalk, intimidate or encourage violence or self-harm;
- discriminate or promote hatred based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or another protected characteristic;
- disclose another person’s identity, address, workplace, location, contact details, health information, sexual orientation or other private information without permission, including “outing” or doxxing;
- impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent your age or identity, or create deceptive accounts;
- record, screenshot, save, repost or distribute another person’s private or intimate content without permission;
- send unwanted sexual content, pressure anyone for sex or images, or engage in sexual exploitation;
- upload real or digitally created intimate imagery of a person without that person’s consent.
NOW and LATER are separate user-facing identities, but Ondar may link them internally for safety, security and enforcement. A block may apply across both modes without revealing that link to another user. Do not use either mode to evade a block, suspension or other restriction.
3. Sexual content and public areas
Public-facing profiles, photos, videos, maps, plans and other discovery surfaces may not contain pornography, visible genitals, sexual acts or other sexually explicit content. Private adult conversations and media must be lawful, consensual and wanted by every recipient. Ephemeral or view-once features do not guarantee that content cannot be captured, preserved or reported.
4. Prohibited conduct
You may not use Ondar for:
- trafficking, exploitation, commercial sexual services or arranging payment for sexual activity;
- scams, extortion, blackmail, fraud, money solicitation or deceptive investment or cryptocurrency activity;
- sales or promotion of illegal drugs, weapons, counterfeit goods or other unlawful products or services;
- spam, mass solicitation, unauthorized advertising, bots, scraping, automated account creation or collection of user information;
- malware, phishing, credential theft, unauthorized access or interference with Ondar;
- organizing or committing illegal acts, violence or conduct that creates a credible risk of harm;
- evading moderation through coded content, alternate accounts or repeated uploads.
5. Photos, videos, voice and moderation
Content may be reviewed by automated systems, including Sightengine for image and video moderation, and by trained human reviewers. Photos and videos may remain unavailable while moderation is pending. Ondar may remove, restrict, blur, preserve or refuse content that violates these Guidelines, the Terms or law. Moderation reduces risk but does not guarantee that every harmful item will be detected.
Messages are stored on Ondar’s servers and are not end-to-end encrypted. Content reported for safety may be preserved beyond its ordinary expiration while Ondar reviews the report, prevents abuse or meets legal obligations.
6. Reports and blocks
Use the in-app Report and Block tools whenever possible. You may also contact safety@ondar.co. Include the relevant username or OnPin, approximate date, feature involved and a concise description. Do not attach illegal imagery.
Blocking should stop the blocked person from contacting or finding you through the affected Ondar identities. Ondar may apply the block across NOW and LATER without disclosing the internal link. A report does not automatically tell the reported person who submitted it, although disclosure may be required by law.
For nonconsensual intimate imagery, use the separate Intimate Image Removal Process.
7. Meeting and dating safety
Ondar does not conduct criminal background checks on all users and does not guarantee any user’s identity, statements, intentions or conduct. Use your own judgment.
- Keep early conversations in Ondar and be cautious if someone quickly moves you elsewhere.
- Never send money, gift cards, financial credentials or verification codes.
- Tell someone you trust about your plans; meet in a public place when appropriate and arrange your own transportation.
- Protect your home, workplace and live location until you choose to share them.
- Leave and contact emergency services if you feel unsafe. In the United States, call 911 for an emergency.
- Report threats, coercion, stalking, assault, scams or suspicious behavior to Ondar and, when appropriate, law enforcement.
8. Enforcement and appeals
Depending on severity, context and history, Ondar may warn a user; remove or restrict content; reduce feature access; block contact; suspend or terminate accounts; invalidate credits obtained through fraud; preserve evidence; or report conduct to authorities. Serious violations may result in immediate action without prior warning. Attempts to evade enforcement may lead to action against linked accounts.
To appeal a moderation or account decision, email safety@ondar.co with the account email or OnPin, the decision being appealed and relevant context. A different reviewer may evaluate the appeal when practicable. Ondar may limit repeat or abusive appeals.
