Ondar Intimate Image Removal Process
Effective date: September 2, 2026
Ondar provides this process for rapid removal of intimate images or videos shared without consent, including realistic digitally altered or AI-generated intimate depictions. It is available whether or not you have an Ondar account and is separate from any copyright/DMCA process.
What you may report
You may submit a request if you are the person depicted or an authorized representative and you believe an intimate image or video was published on Ondar without consent. This includes content depicting nudity, sexual activity or other intimate conduct, as well as a digital forgery that realistically appears to depict an identifiable person.
If the depicted person is under 18, say so clearly. Do not download, forward, copy or attach the content. You may also use Take It Down or report apparent child sexual exploitation to law enforcement.
How to request removal
Email safety@ondar.co with the subject “Intimate Image Removal Request.” Do not attach the intimate image or video. Include:
- Your name and a safe way for Ondar to contact you.
- Whether you are the person depicted or that person’s authorized representative.
- Enough information to locate the content, such as the account or OnPin, conversation, approximate date, URL or screenshot of the surrounding interface with the intimate content covered.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the intimate depiction was published without the depicted person’s consent.
- A statement that the information in the request is accurate and that you are the depicted person or are authorized to act for that person.
- Your typed full name as an electronic signature.
You do not need an Ondar account, a police report or a copyright registration. Ondar may request only the additional information reasonably needed to find the content, confirm authority or prevent a fraudulent removal.
What Ondar will do
Ondar will acknowledge the request and provide a tracking reference. After receiving a valid request, Ondar will remove or disable access to the reported content—and known identical copies on Ondar—as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours. Ondar will notify the requester of the result or explain why the request could not be completed.
Ondar may use technical matching or other proportionate measures to help identify identical copies. This does not guarantee detection of every modified or newly uploaded version, so please report any recurrence.
Privacy, preservation and safety
Access to a request is limited to personnel and providers who need it for review, safety, security or legal compliance. Removal from user access does not always mean immediate erasure from restricted evidence, backup or legal-hold systems. Ondar may preserve limited information to investigate abuse, prevent re-upload, protect users, comply with law or cooperate with authorities.
Submitting a request does not prevent you from contacting law enforcement or seeking other legal remedies. If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services; in the United States, call 911.
Knowingly false, fraudulent or abusive requests are prohibited. A person affected by a removal may contact safety@ondar.co for review, but Ondar will not restore content unless it determines that restoration is lawful and appropriate.
